Wednesday, March 30

Athlete meeting at 5:00 p.m. Meeting will be held at the boathouse at the USOC Training Center. You or your representative MUST attend the meeting or you will be scratched from competition.

Thursday, March 31

AM Session

7:00 a.m. Time Trial 1: (Times and events TBD by number of entries)

Sculling events – Top 18 move on to three heats; 19+ to D, E, etc. finals
Sweep events – Top 12 move on to two heats

Sculling – Top two from each heat advance to A final; places 3-4 advance to B final; places 5-6 advance to C final.

Sweep events – Top three from each heat advance to A final, places 4-6 to B final.

Practice Schedule (Tentative and Subject to Change)

 

The first opportunity for Speed Order participants to practice at the U.S. Olympic Training center will be Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Please follow the practice times listed below and check in with USRowing staff for practice traffic patterns and boat storage before arriving.

Wednesday: Course will be open for practice from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Restroom facilities will be available.

Inclement Weather Policy

Lightweights

Lightweights will weigh-in no less than one hour and no more than two hours before their first race each day of competition. FISA Rules Apply: Light Men Boat Avg. FISA MAX 72.5 kg, Individual athletes cannot weigh more than 72.5; Light Women Boat Avg. FISA MAX 59 kg, Individual athletes cannot weigh more than 59 kg.

USRowing Compliance

All competitors must have a current USRowing membership and liability waiver on file. Athletes will not be permitted to launch if they are not in compliance with these requirements. Please check your status and renew your membership and waiver before arriving for competition. This can be done online at www.usrowing.org by clicking on “Join/Renew” or by contacting member services at 1-800-314-4ROW.

Parking

All vehicles must park in the lot next to the boathouse. Boat trailers may park along the dirt access road behind the boathouse. No other vehicles are allowed behind the boathouse.

Emergency vehicles will need to have a clear path from the paved road all the way to the tree line behind the boathouse. Any vehicle not following the outlined parking rules will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Boat Storage

There will be no indoor storage for equipment. Equipment will remain outdoors for the duration of the event.

Facility

As you will be competing at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, you will need to complete all paperwork necessary for access to the venue. Please contact Fred Honebein for the necessary paperwork at fred@usrowing.org.

Visiting athletes will be allowed access to the boathouse area ONLY.  

Accommodations and Food


Accommodations and food will be the responsibility of the visiting athlete.

Equipment

All visiting athletes will need to bring their own equipment for the competition. All questions can be directed to Fred Honebein, National Team Programs Manager at fred@usrowing.org.

Registration Information

  • Entry Fee: $25 per person. Registration deadline Friday, March 25 at MIDNIGHT (PST)
  • Scratch Fee (after the registration deadline): $50.00
  • USRowing membership is required. Click here to renew or join.
  • Senior National Team events are open to all collegiate, club and unaffiliated athletes.
  • Junior national team candidates will not be considered.
As outlined in the 2011 Rules of Rowing:

  • All competitors must be citizens or nationals of the United States
  • No competitor may wear the uniform of the U.S. National Team during competition
  • Use of National Team colors on oars is prohibited

Exit at Olympic Parkway
Travel East on Olympic Parkway
Proceed approximately 7.5 miles to Wueste Road
