USRowing Announces 2013 Women’s Under 23 National Team Camp Acceptances

USRowing is pleased to announce that 26 athletes have been accepted to the 2013 Women’s Under 23 National Team Selection Camp in Princeton, N.J.
PRINCETON, N.J. – USRowing is pleased to announce that 26 athletes have been accepted to the 2013 Women’s Under 23 National Team Selection Camp in Princeton, N.J.

The camp will select the women’s eight and the women’s quadruple sculls crews that will compete at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships July 24-28 in Linz, Austria. In addition, the camp may select crews in the women’s four, pair and double sculls that will compete at the USRowing Under 23 National Team Trials June 23-26 in West Windsor, N.J. A full team roster will be named by July 10.

The camp will be led by Anne Kakela, camp director and head sweep coach; Josh Adam, head sculling coach; and Shawn Bagnall, assistant coach.

The U.S. won three medals at the 2012 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Trakai, Lithuania, including gold in the men’s and women’s eights and silver in the men’s four with coxswain.
