Saturday 16th : 6k erg test on Concept 2 (Fixed) Please note: Everyone is expected to participate in the 6k erg test in order to compete Sunday on the water. Times from the 6k will determine the start order for Sunday's racing. Lightweight athletes will only be required to weigh in one time during the event, before the erg test on Saturday. No weigh-in will be required for Sunday's racing.
Sunday 17th : The course is 4080m long (See map below)
The course is divided in 3 parts.
- Start to 2nd Pole Set (about 1.8k)
- 2nd Pole Set to 1st Pole Set (about 1.2k)
- 1st Pole Set to Finish (about 1.1k)
***Important for all rowers: You have to row thru the 2nd and 1st Pole Set. These are markers for boats and every Pole is either Red or Green. If you are NOT rowing through the Pole Set you will be disqualified.
*** At the moment we predict we will have the Speed Order at LOW TIDE. First start is about 5 minutes before low tide (9:09am), and last start is about 5 minutes after the peak point of low tide. This ensures that during the regatta there will be nearly no current in either direction.
For your reference, these are the best-times on this course:
M1x – Derek Johnson – 14:22.09 min
LM1x – Dan Lebl – 15:32.79 min
M2- – Nick Lucey / David Eick – 13:54.35 min
LM2- – no time
W1x – Stesha Carle – 16:11.34 min
