PRINCETON, N.J.  – USRowing is pleased to announce that the 2014 USRowing Club National Championships will be held on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn., July 16-20.

Club nationals was last in Oak Ridge in 2010 and has been held on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J. for the last two years. During that time the regatta has seen a significant increase in the number of entries in the junior divisions. The 2013 regatta featured five days of racing and over 1,500 crews.

"USRowing is proud to bring this event back to Oak Ridge," said USRowing Events Manager, A.J. Dominique. “Given the growth of club nationals over the past three years, the venue at Oak Ridge will be a good fit for the event, both on and off of the water."

Melton Hill Lake has been the site of several large USRowing events including youth nationals and club nationals and is one of the premier rowing venues in the country.

“We’re really looking forward to having the regatta back,” said Oak Ridge Rowing Association president, Bob Franks. “It’s been since 2010 since we’ve hosted it and we’re proud to be doing it again. We’re going to show our Southern hospitality to everyone that comes.”
