Thursday – December 3

One Liberty Observation Deck opens 57 floors above Center City
Previously a view only available to the birds, the newly opened observation deck of the One Liberty Observation Deck give visitors a complete 360 degree view of the iconic Philly skyline.

Shanks Original
For a highly reputed cheese steak and just a stone’s throw from the convention location, Shank’s Original is the perfect hole-in-the-wall for an old-school experience on the Delaware River Waterfront. Dating back to 1962 – the Shank Steak is a fan favorite of some USRowing employees who swear by the shack by the river.

Have an ADVNTUR
With help from Advntur, the clubs of the Schuylkill Navy have generously offered to play host to a select group of USRowing Convention attendees who would like the chance to get on the water and row during their time in Philadelphia. Weather permitting, sessions are offered Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Click the link to register, and for more information.

Friday – December 4

Rock the Row: Passport to Boathouse Row
Join us for a “Passport to Boathouse Row” on Friday, December 4th at the Annual USRowing Convention. Organized by the Schuylkill Navy of Philadelphia and its member clubs, the party will be THE spot to be as we head into the weekend of the convention.  The historic rowing clubs of Boathouse Row will be open for tours with drinks, food, dancing, and special guests all along the way.

Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest
Right down the road from the convention location, Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest takes Penn’s Landing and turns it into a Winter Wonderland. The colder version of Spruce Street Harbor Park for those who are familiar with the area, guests can enjoy the evening on an Olympic-size skating rink, fire pits with cozy seating and with twinkling lights and holiday spirit to bring out the Buddy the Elf in even the worst Grinch of the bunch.

The Christmas Village in Philadelphia
For those looking for more of the iconic Philadelphia scene, this medieval-village type setting brings German-style Christmas to Center City Philadelphia. Shoppers can find anything from ornaments, nutcrackers and bratwursts.

Saturday - December 5

USRowing Annual Awards Reception Presented by Nathan Benderson Park
The USRowing Annual Awards Reception, presented by Nathan Benderson Park, is the last opportunity to celebrate the best from the year in rowing. Starting with a "Happy Hour", attendees are invited to join USRowing in recognizing the people that help make the sport great.

North Bowl
For those interested in keeping the night going after the awards reception, right around the corner is the hidden gem of Northern Liberties – North Bowl. Located in a former mechanics garage, with more than 21,000 square feet, 17 bowling lanes and an upstairs lounge with Italian sofas, pool tables and an arcade – Night Bowl is the perfect and unique way to end your evening.
