Row to Rio: Matt Miller

As the 2016 National Selection Regatta gets into full swing - USRowing sits down with Matt Miller as he posts some of the top times of the event.
A two-time member of the U.S. senior national team, Matt Miller (Springfield, Va.) has been a top-performer at the 2016 National Selection Regatta, with the best time at Monday's time trials and one of the top times of this morning's heats. Watch his interview and hear what he is doing to get ready as he prepares for his Row to Rio.

  • First rowed for West Springfield High School in 2004.
  • Loves to play around with his GoPro and even has a YouTube page where he uploads videos of the national team at practice.
  • Miller graduated from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a focus on Systems and Information Engineering.
  • His wife is also an University of Virginia alum, and a rower!
  • Before becoming a U.S. Training Center athlete, Miller trained with Potomac Boat Club in Washington, D.C.
