Willy Cowles (Farmington, Conn.) and Stephen Whelpley (Moquon, Wis.) have their eyes set on Lucerne, after winning the double sculls event at the 2016 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Team Trials in Sarasota, Fla., last month.

The athletes from Craftsbury Sculling Center will need a top-two finish at the 2016 Final Qualification Regatta, May 22-24, to gain Olympic qualification.

Cowles and Whelpley sat down to discuss their win, what is next on their Row to Rio and what it would mean to compete at the Olympic Games.
