SELECTION

Selection to the 2016 U.S. Olympic Rowing Team is made in one of two methods for big and small boats. Spots for the big boat events (eights, quads and fours) are determined through a selection camp, with the exception of the men’s quadruple sculls, which is determined through a trials process. Meanwhile, the small boat events – including men’s single sculls, women’s single sculls, men’s double sculls, women’s double sculls, lightweight men’s double sculls, lightweight women’s double sculls, men’s pair and women’s pair – are selected through a trials process. The U.S. has qualified 11 events and 41 total athletes for the 2016 Olympic Games. View the 2016 Olympic Athlete Bio page.
